How long will the unit last?
The life expectancy of the unit is 5 years. The battery will last more than 2000 cycles, or 5.5 years being completely cycled once per day. The panel has of life expectancy of 10 years.
Can the panel get wet?
Yes, absolutely. It is intended to be mounted permanently to a roof or other sunny location and can be exposed to the wind, rain, sun and elements.
What maintenance is needed?
The unit is maintenance free. Simply keep the panel and light clean using a damp cloth. (A dirty panel is a shaded panel. If dirt keeps sunlight from hitting the panel, it cannot charge.)
Can the light get wet?
The light is waterproof when the rubber plug is in place and covering the USB port. The light is intended for indoor use.
How many lighting settings are there?
The light comes with 4 pre-programmed lighting levels. It can provide additional lighting levels in 7 increments between 100% power and 25% power.
How do I install the light?
The light has 3 basic means of use.
• Sling carry—Carry the unit by hand with the sling wrapping around your hand. Alternatively, the unit can be hung by the sling from a hook or nail.
• Desk light—Fit the metal stand into the two holes on the side of the unit for use as a desk lamp.
• Hanging—Fit the metal stand into the two holes on the side of the unit in the same form as the desk lamp. Hang the stand over a rafter, door, cabinet, etc. and let the light shine down.
How do I charge my phone?
The cell phone charger can charge multiple cell phones at once. Simply plug the adapter cable into the USB port on the back of the light and into your cell phone using the provided plugs. The phone will charge for 2 hours, and will then shut off automatically.
